
The General Staff of the Ukrainian Army has noted new offensives by Russian forces during the last hours in more than a dozen localities in the east and south of the country, part of which have managed to be repelled.
Russia, according to the General Staff on its Telegram account, has launched this new offensive in three directions: Bajmut, Avdiiv and Novopavliv, which has resulted in fighting in at least twelve localities.
The Ukrainian emergency service has also reported on Saturday air alerts in the regions of Dnepropetrovsk, Poltava, Kirovograd, Mikolaiv and Kharkov, according to the official alert resource, as well as in contested areas such as Zaporiyia or Kherson.
There, pro-Russian forces have reported at least 18 Ukrainian rocket launches, in addition to eleven others in the Gorlovka area, in the Russian-controlled part of the Donetsk region.
RUSSIA ANNOUNCES FURTHER PROGRESS Shortly afterwards, the spokesman of the Russian Army, General Igor Konashenkov, confirmed in a press conference reported by the TASS agency several advances in multiple directions: Donetsk, Kupyansk, Krasno-Limansky and Zaporiyia which have resulted in the death of about 150 Ukrainian servicemen, a figure not confirmed by Kiev.
Ukrainian authorities have also reported in the last hours three civilians killed and two wounded by a Russian attack in the Donetsk locality of Kostiantinivka, as reported on his Telegram account by the Ukrainian military administrator of the region, Pavlo Kirilenko.
The Russian attack has hit at least four apartment buildings, a hotel, garages and civilian vehicles.
Emergency services are at the sites of the impacts since there could be people trapped in the rubble, he has denounced.
