Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dimitro Kuleba has held a conversation with his Polish counterpart, Zbigniew Rau, in which he thanked him for being the first country to announce its commitment to supply Leopard tanks.
According to Kuleba, Warsaw’s pioneering position has served to shape the current «tank coalition», facilitated following Germany’s decision to give the «green light» to the supply of Leopard tanks by third countries.
However, the Ukrainian minister acknowledged that Ukraine and the international community have «new tasks ahead of them» which, once the tank issue has been overcome, include the supply of Western fighter jets, new sanctions and the implementation of the Peace Formula put forward by Kiev.
Regarding bilateral relations between Kiev and Warsaw, Kuleba said on Twitter that his conversation with Rau helped both sides to address new ways of «expanding and facilitating the passenger and cargo railway connection.»
