The Russian Navy frigate ‘Admiral Gorshkov’ on Wednesday tested its Zircon hypersonic missiles in a series of maneuvers in the Atlantic, where they simulated an attack against a Russian forces target allegedly 900 kilometers away.
The Russian Defense Ministry has indicated that «the frigate’s crew carried out maneuvers to test the use of hypersonic missiles through simulation,» it said, before indicating that the troops showed «a great capacity for cooperation» during the exercises, according to the TASS news agency.
Officials also said that Russian forces are planning to carry out a series of joint military exercises with the South African Army in front of the country, as well as with China.
