Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinian said Friday that he is ready to solve the country’s conflict with Azerbaijan and said that the Armenian government has approved the proposal presented by Russia to resolve the dispute.

«In early September, Armenia agreed to work on the basis of the basic principles and parameters presented by Russia for establishing interstate relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Now it is ready to confirm it in Sochi» he has noted on his Twitter account after a meeting with the leaders of Russia and Azerbaijan, Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev.

In this regard, she has expressed hope that Moscow will support her proposals a day after Putin stated that Russia will support «any choice of the Armenian people» regarding the parameters put on the table to reach a peace agreement with Baku.

The sides exchanged clashes again last September at several points along their shared border, resulting in some 200 deaths and hundreds of injuries.

The increase in hostilities, the largest in nearly two years, occurred outside the disputed region of Nagorno-Karabakh, where the Armenian population predominates and over whose control Yerevan and Baku have fought several wars.
