Doubles champion in Australia
The 27-year-old Canberra native reached his first major final at Wimbledon last July, where he lost in four sets to Serbia’s Novak Djokovic. He was crowned, along with his compatriot Thanasis Kokinakkis, doubles champion of the Australian Open.
«I hope to win a Grand Slam and retire»
«I hope to win a Grand Slam and retire, would I sign it? Honestly, I don’t know,» Kyrgios stressed to the media during an exhibition match.
«Everyone wants a little more of you»
«I’ve struggled this season, a lot of discipline and it seems like the better you do, everyone wants a little bit more from you and it becomes more stressful,» Kyrgios added.
«I felt better off and on the track»
The Australian admits that he has had a «great time» in this 2022. «And I’m finally proud to say that I’ve made it to a ‘Grand Slam’ final and started to live up to some expectations. I had a lot of fun, I enjoyed it, I definitely felt better off and on the court,» he confessed.
