Rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, has claimed during a commercial break on U.S. conspiracy theorist Alex Jones’ show that he likes the figure of Hitler after numerous accusations against him for anti-Semitism.
During the program, Jones has asked West about the controversial actions of the American artist, who lost his contract with Adidas for comments that the company called «unacceptable, hateful and dangerous». In this sense, the presenter has assured that Ye «is neither Hitler nor a Nazi», after which the rapper has taken the floor.
«Of this guy (Hitler) who invented highways and invented the same microphone I use as a musician you can’t say out loud that he ever did anything good and I’m sick of it. I’ve had enough of classifications,» he said.
Subsequently, he explained that «every human being has something of value», «especially Hitler». Elsewhere in the interview, the presenter is heard arguing that «most Jews are great people,» although he agrees that there is a «Jewish mafia.»
«I don’t like the word ‘evil’ next to (that of) Nazis,» the rapper has also said. «I love Jews, but I also love Nazis,» he has added, after which Jones has laughed, as picked up by Billbord magazine.
Since his website Infowars was founded in 1999, Jones, who is a radio host, has had a large audience. Among the conspiracy theories he has promoted is that the 2001 attacks in New York and Washington were staged by the government.
