The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has announced on Tuesday that they have launched a training program for diplomatic staff in Africa under the agreements reached by Kiev and several countries of the continent following the official tour of the head of the portfolio, Dimitro Kuleba, in October 2022.
«During my tour, our African partners showed considerable interest in studying the Ukrainian diplomatic experience,» has assured Kuleba, who during that trip demanded African countries not to remain impassive in the face of the Russian invasion and not to declare neutrality.
Under the course ‘Security and Diplomacy in Times of War’ – lasting four days – more than 200 diplomats from countries such as Nigeria, Kenya, Ethiopia, Somalia, Ivory Coast, South Africa, Botswana, Mozambique and Senegal, «will have the opportunity to learn the experience» of Ukrainian diplomacy».
Kuleba said he is confident that the course – which will highlight Ukraine’s experience over the past year, the experience of war and the so-called «peace plan» of President Volodymyr Zelenski – will strengthen ties with African countries and serve to «strengthen» the stability of the region.
