Russia’s Defense Ministry on Saturday affirmed the blockade carried out on railway access routes for the transportation of arms, ammunition and foreign reserves to Ukraine.

Moscow has confirmed the blockade of access routes for supplies directed to the areas of hostilities but has not specified exactly where the rail transport has been disrupted.

In addition, the Russian Defense Ministry has also confirmed in its daily military bulletin the «massive attack» that took place during the day of February 10, a missile and drone offensive again aimed at damaging Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.

Moscow has declared that all targets supplying the military industry and the transport system in Ukraine have been hit, something that is however contradicted by the Ukrainian authorities, who claim to have shot down most of the missiles and drones.

In this regard, Kiev has confirmed this Friday Moscow’s new attack on critical infrastructure in eastern Ukraine, which has caused power outages in up to 150,000 homes and injured eight people.

Kharkov military governor Oleh Synehubov said via Telegram that at least eight people were injured after the attack, who were repairing damage caused by an earlier attack. All of them have been hospitalized, two of whom are in serious condition.

Since the middle of last October, Russia has been targeting Ukraine’s energy facilities, a strategy that has led to power outages in the middle of winter and affected millions of Ukrainians.

For his part, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky continues to insist that Western allies send more weapons to stop the Russian invasion, which will be a year old in two weeks.
