
Ukrainian authorities have denounced Friday a series of attacks by the Russian Army against «critical infrastructure facilities» in the eastern city of Kharkov, with no casualties reported so far.
The mayor of Kharkov, Igor Terekhov, has indicated that the attacks have been executed at around 4.00 a.m. (local time) and stressed that «the enemy is attacking critical infrastructure facilities». «There could be power, water and heating cuts,» he has said via his Telegram account.
Thus, the governor of the Kharkov region, Oleg Sinegubov, has detailed that so far ten explosions have been recorded and has confirmed power outages «in some areas». «Emergency services are working at the sites of explosions. Information about casualties and scale of destruction is being clarified,» he added.
For her part, the spokeswoman for the Southern Command of the Ukrainian Army, Natalia Humenyuk, has stressed during the day that Russia «is preparing a plan of action very similar to a massive missile strike,» Ukrinform Ukrainian news agency has reported. «The enemy is preparing a missile strike,» she assured, before specifying that Moscow has put into combat posture three warships in the Black Sea.
