
Russian authorities announced Thursday the death of four «terrorists» who were planning an attack on a train station and allegedly had links to «a Ukrainian nationalist paramilitary formation».
The National Anti-Terrorist Committee (NAC) has indicated that the operation has been carried out in Stavropol (southwest) and has indicated that «four bandits who were planning to perpetrate a terrorist attack against a train station in the region have been neutralized».
He also specified that the security forces have seized weapons and a homemade explosive device, according to the Russian news agency TASS. During the operation, the suspects detonated a second device.
«According to available information, the bandits were involved in terrorist activities of a Ukrainian nationalist paramilitary formation,» the NAC said, without elaborating on which group the suspects belonged to.
