At least 30 people have been killed and 15 others injured when a passenger bus and a car collided and fell into a ravine in the Kohistan district of northern Pakistan.
Local authorities have indicated that the bus collided head-on with a car driving in the opposite lane, after which both vehicles fell into a ravine, Geo TV has reported.
The President of Pakistan, Arif Alvi, has «expressed his sorrow for the loss of lives» in the accident, conveying his condolences to the families of the victims, according to a presidential statement.
Likewise, the Pakistani Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, has offered his condolences and prayed for the deceased, giving instructions to the competent authorities to evacuate the injured and establish a better coordination of emergency response, according to Geo TV.
