Ukrainian Presidential Spokesman Mikhail Podoliak assured on Tuesday that the weapons supplied by Western allies are not used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to attack the territory of Russia.
«Once again about basic things for our partners. Ukraine does not attack the territory of the Russian Federation. Weapons provided by the allies are used for defense, de-occupation of Ukrainian territories and destruction of enemy warehouses,» he remarked.
In a publication on his official profile on the social network Twitter, Podoliak stressed that the long-range missiles now demanded by Ukraine are necessary «for an effective counter-offensive of the Armed Forces.»
Ukraine has in recent months redoubled its demands to Western powers to supply everything from tanks to fighter jets, including heavy weapons and long-range missiles in order to be able to face the Russian offensive.
