At least two Afghan civilians have been lightly injured by the explosion of a magnetic mine placed in the underbody of a vehicle near the Presidential Palace in Afghanistan’s capital, Kabul.
The Taliban Security Command has confirmed the incident, which occurred at around 18.00 (14.00 in mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands) in the second security district of the city.
The explosion destroyed the vehicle in which the mine was placed, a civilian-owned Hilux van, according to Kabul Police spokesman Jalid Zadran, in comments to the daily Hasht e Subh.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
