The donor coordination platform for the Ukrainian repair, recovery and reconstruction process took its first steps on Thursday with a meeting inaugurating the broader process to secure long-term funding.
Representatives of Ukraine, the European Union and G7 countries, as well as international financial institutions such as the World Bank, the European Investment Bank, the International Monetary Fund and the European Development Bank, kicked off the process via video conference.
The forum will enable close coordination between international donors and international financial organizations and ensure that support is provided in a coherent, transparent and accountable manner.
The ultimate goal is to ensure better coordination between all key actors by providing short-term financial support but also long-term assistance for the reconstruction phase. This group follows the work done at the donor conferences held in Lugano, Berlin and Paris in recent weeks.
