French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna assured Thursday from Odessa, where she met with her Ukrainian counterpart, Dimitro Kuleba, that neither France nor its allies are at war with Russia.
«What we saw this morning, i.e. new attacks on Ukrainian civilian facilities, is not a war: it is a war crime,» the French foreign minister told LCI channel.
The Ukrainian authorities have reported Thursday that as a result of air strikes launched by Russia throughout this day in several regions of the country have killed eleven people and as many others have been wounded.
On the other hand, asked about the possible supply of Leclerc tanks to Ukraine after the French president himself, Emmanuel Macron, stated that this possibility is not ruled out, Colonna has stressed that, for the moment, no decision has been taken.
Colonna’s statements come after the Kremlin has stressed on Thursday that the latest actions of the West on the shipment of armaments to Kiev are considered a «direct involvement in the conflict».
«For Moscow, everything that the Alliance and the capitals I mentioned are doing is perceived as direct involvement in the conflict. We see that this is increasing,» the Kremlin has maintained, as picked up by Russia’s Interfax news agency.
