Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksei Reznikov has announced that there will soon be «more good news» for the country after holding a conversation with U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin on Wednesday.
As Reznikov recounted on his official Twitter profile, the conversation with Austin focused on the supply of tanks and maintenance of new weaponry.» «More good news will be announced soon,» he said.
Also, both Ukrainian and American defense representatives have discussed the results of the recent meeting of the Ukrainian Defense Contact Group at the German military base in Ramstein.
That summit culminated without Germany’s permission for the supply of Leopard tanks to Ukraine from third countries. However, the situation has unraveled this Wednesday after the day before ‘The Wall Street Journal’ advanced that Washington could also send Abrams tanks to the Eastern European country.
