A Qantas flight has successfully landed Wednesday in Sydney, Australia, after issuing an emergency call after reporting engine problems.
The flight, from Auckland, New Zealand, touched down on Australian soil at 3:30 p.m., about 45 minutes after reporting an emergency.
A spokesman for Sydney Airport said the airport had notified fire, police and emergency services as a precautionary measure, according to The Sydney Morning Herald newspaper.
A spokesman for the aviation company said the incident is being investigated and a statement with more details will be released in the next few hours, the New Zealand Herald has learned.
