European political leaders have shared their condolences for the helicopter crash that has claimed the lives of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry leadership, including Minister Denis Monastirski, and has also resulted in the death of several children, as the incident took place next to a kindergarten.
The President of France, Emmanuel Macron, has regretted the «terrible» accident and has expressed on behalf of his country his condolences to the «Ukrainian friends», while the Prime Minister of Poland, Mateusz Morawiecki, has also reiterated on Twitter «all the support».
The Czech Prime Minister, Petr Fiala, and the Slovak Eduard Heger, «very saddened by the devastating news» that arrived early on Wednesday from Ukraine, following the accident that took place in Brovary, near Kiev, also expressed their condolences.
For the head of the Estonian government, Kaja Kallas, it is «another tragic reminder of the high price Ukraine is paying in its struggle for freedom against Russia».
The helicopter crashed for unknown reasons near a kindergarten in the Ukrainian town of Brovary, causing casualties also among those on the ground. The Government has opened an investigation and the Prosecutor’s Office has assured that it does not rule out any hypothesis.
