Jeremy Renner, known for his role as Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, suffered an accident on January 1 while shoveling snow at his Mt. Rose-Ski Tahoe ranch (south of Reno, Nevada). The interpreter, who had to undergo surgery, has already shared his first image after the serious event.
It was on Wednesday, January 4, when Renner posted a snapshot showing his visibly bruised face from his hospital bed. «Thank you all for your kind words. I’m too messed up right now to write. But I’m sending love to all of you,» the post reads.
The post has been flooded with supportive comments, many from her UCM colleagues. «Sending you all our love, brother, and hopes for a speedy recovery,» the Russo brothers commented. «Speedy recovery, buddy. Sending you love,» said Chris Hemsworth. «I love you, buddy. Sending you love and get well,» expounded Paul Bettany. «My brother, I love you,» wrote Taika Waititi.
According to witnesses, Jeremy Renner was removing snow from a road when the snowplow ran over one of his legs. Due to the injury, he lost a lot of blood and a person who was present had to give him a tourniquet until he received medical assistance. The star was taken to a hospital by helicopter and, as announced by his publicist, the artist underwent surgery due to thoracic trauma and orthopedic injuries.
Paramount+ is scheduled to premiere season 2 of The Kingstown Boss, a series starring Renner, on January 15. For the time being, it appears that the streaming platform has not changed its release plans in the wake of the accident.
