The Ukrainian Armed Forces claimed Tuesday to have «liquidated» 750 Russian servicemen during fighting over the past day and brought to more than 108,000 the total number of Russian soldiers killed since the start of the invasion, unleashed on February 24 on the orders of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The Ukrainian Army General Staff said in a message on its Facebook social network account that «some 108,190» Russian servicemen have been killed since the start of the war, before adding that 3,036 battle tanks, 2,033 artillery systems and 214 anti-aircraft defense systems have been destroyed.

He also stressed that 283 aircraft, 270 helicopters, 1,839 drones, 723 cruise missiles, 16 ships, 4,735 vehicles and fuel tanks and 181 pieces of «special equipment» have been destroyed in the course of hostilities. «The figures are being updated,» he noted.

The spokesman of the Ukrainian Army General Staff, Andriy Kovalev, has stated in his daily balance sheet that «in enemy does not give up its plans to enter the administrative border of the Donetsk region» and explained that «the main efforts (of Russia) are focused on maintaining the offensive potential and replacing the losses, in particular at the expense of the mobilized».

In this regard, he noted that Russia carried out during the last 24 hours six missile strikes and 52 shellings, including 36 against «civilian infrastructure». In addition, Ukrainian forces have shot down 27 drones of alleged Iranian manufacture.

«The enemy, which is trying to take full control of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, is concentrating its efforts on carrying out offensive operations in Bajmut,» he noted, while stressing that Russia «makes attempts to improve the tactical position in the direction of Liman and Avdiivka.»

The Russian Defense Ministry confirmed on Monday the death of more than 60 servicemen in an attack carried out by the Ukrainian Army with a High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) on a locality in the area of the Donetsk region (east), controlled by the pro-Russian authorities.
