Emergency services working in the Italian municipality of Casamicciola Terme, on the island of Ischia, have located on Monday three more lifeless bodies among the debris and mud left by a landslide last Saturday.

Firefighters have located the bodies of two men and a woman, leaving only one person missing, identified as Maria Teresa Arcamone, according to the AdnKronos agency. Among the latest victims is the mother of three minors who also lost their lives in the storm.

The search services are working around the clock in anticipation of a new worsening of the weather, in principle from this Friday. Authorities do not rule out further evacuations, after more than 200 people were forced to leave their homes last weekend.

The Minister of Civil Protection, Nello Musumeci, has confirmed that five people were injured by the events in Ischia and, of them, one remains in serious condition, according to Rai. He also explained that schools in the area will remain closed for at least several more days.
