The Dutch authorities announced Monday that they will allocate another 25 million euros to support the Ukrainian Army in the face of the Russian invasion of the territory as part of an aid package that includes ammunition and medical supplies, among others.

This was confirmed by Dutch Foreign Minister Wopke Hoekstra during a joint press conference with Defense Minister Kajsa Ollongren and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

«We will grant 25 million euros to support the Ukrainian Army, including combat equipment, first aid kits, ambulances, tankers and anti-drone defense systems,» stressed Hoekstra, who pointed out that the country will also grant an additional 20 million euros to the international fund for assistance to Ukraine.

Dozens of countries have condemned Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which began in late February, and have since sent aid packages to the country as sanctions against Russia, which has complained about sending weapons to Kiev, have increased.

In this regard, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has warned on several occasions that any arms shipment to Ukraine will become a «legitimate» target for Russia’s Armed Forces.
