Seven military personnel have been killed and one more injured after a military tank rammed into a cargo truck in the state of Tamaulipas, in northeastern Mexico.
The accident occurred at kilometer 125 of the Soto La Marina-Reynosa Highway when the military vehicle hit a truck and half of the truck was left under the trailer’s box.
«Unfortunately, seven members of the National Defense Secretariat died and one more was injured when a tractor-trailer and a unit transporting the Mexican Army personnel collided,» the Tamaulipas Attorney General’s Office reported, as quoted by the Mexican newspaper ‘Milenio’.
The State Police have detained one person at the scene and he has been handed over to the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
