Protests in Iran following the death of young Masha Amini in custody after she was arrested for violating the Islamic dress code continue in the country for the second month in a row.

This Wednesday, hundreds of people have again taken to the streets in several parts of the country, especially in Tehran, the capital, to protest against the government and demand the «death of the dictator», a proclamation that has gained notoriety as the demonstrations progress.

Activists and demonstrators have asked the population to join the protests and «extend civil disobedience» to all corners of the country, according to information from the Iran International channel.

They have called for «freedom» and the death of Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who is already 83 years old and in poor health. The demonstrations have gained strength especially among groups of students, who have demanded «freedom for women» in schools and universities.

However, security forces have threatened to undermine the protests and dismiss officials who join the protests, especially ahead of this Friday, the 40th day since the death of Shirin Alizade, who was killed by police while protesting in Tonekabon in Mazandaran.
