The Russian administration of the Ukrainian region of Kherson denounced on Sunday that both the eponymous city and other parts of the territory have been left without electricity and water due to Ukrainian attacks in recent hours.
The regional emergency services have blamed this situation on «Ukrainian reconnaissance and sabotage teams» that have destroyed, in the last few hours, «three reinforced concrete poles of high-voltage power lines».
A total of ten localities in the region, including Kherson city, have been left without power, according to a press conference reported by the Russian agency TASS.
The Russian administration of the region has also confirmed that the city of Kherson has been left without water as a result of these attacks on the power grid, on which Ukraine has not yet commented.
In recent hours, Russian authorities in the region have accused Ukraine of damaging a dam north of the city of Kherson in a missile attack and of massing a large number of tanks and armored vehicles at the entrance to the region.
Kherson is right now the scene of a new evacuation of civilians who are fleeing the Ukrainian advance and are leaving the city to cross the Dnieper River to its left bank.
