At least six people have been killed, including two minors, and a seventh person injured Sunday in a shooting in the Mexican state of Veracruz.
The incident occurred on the Veracruz-Xalapa highway, near the Veracruz International Airport, at around 16.00 local time (23.00 Spanish peninsular time).
Dozens of elements of the security forces have arrived at the scene of the incident, who are carrying out a heavy operation in the search for the assailants, reports the newspaper ‘El Universal’.
The Secretary of Public Security of the State of Veracruz has indicated that «they are maintaining the Code Red operation in the area, in order to find the aggressors and guarantee order and social peace».
