Ukrainian authorities reported Wednesday that at least one person has been killed and seven others wounded in a new attack by Russian forces on the village of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region in the east of the country.
The governor of the area, Pavlo Kirilenko, has indicated that the Ukrainian Army has also found the lifeless bodies of three civilians, who «were killed during the Russian occupation of Sviatohirsk and Shchurove», as he explained in his Telegram account.
However, he has warned that it is «impossible» to establish the exact number of victims in areas such as Volnovaja and Mariupol, among other cities that have been severely affected by the shelling.
In addition, early Wednesday, the Russian Armed Forces launched three missiles against a town near Zaporiyia. Oleksander Starukh, spokesman for the local government, said that «the world’s second army used missiles to hit a restaurant in the region».
In this regard, he explained that the Ukrainian forces had previously managed to intercept an enemy missile launched during the night, according to information from the Ukrinform agency.
