U.S. President Joe Biden and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz held a telephone conversation on Sunday in which they agreed in describing recent Russian nuclear threats as «irresponsible».
«The leaders agreed that Russia’s recent nuclear threats are irresponsible,» the White House said in an official statement.
«They underscored their continued U.S. and German commitment to provide Ukraine with the economic, humanitarian and security support it needs to defend itself against Russian aggression,» Washington added.
The two leaders also discussed Scholz’s recent visit to Beijing and «affirmed their shared commitments to respect for an international order based on respect for rules, human rights and fair business practices.»
