The president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, confirmed this Friday that his political party, Morena, will hold primary elections and will not designate by ‘dedazo’ his successor for the 2024 elections.
«All those who wish to participate will do so, they have the right, because I will not designate, there will be no ‘dedazo’, the method will be a survey», said the Mexican leader in a press conference, according to ‘Milenio’.
In this sense, López Obrador has guaranteed that the winner of the primaries will have his full support. «I am sure that all those who are participating are satisfied with this method because there is no favoritism», he said.
