The French government has announced the delivery of one hundred new high-power generators to Ukraine to help the population «resist» the onset of a winter that, as denounced by French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna, «Russia wants to use as a weapon of war».
These generators, of between 50 and 100 kilovoltamperes, will be delivered to the Ukrainian authorities «in the next few days» after a stopover in Romania.
This transport, organized by the crisis and support center of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, is supported by the European Union’s civil protection mechanism and is part of an operation to dispatch more than 500 generators by several EU countries.
«This new assistance in the energy field complements the various shipments of electric generators made since the beginning of the war, such as the 85 generators sent from France to Ukraine and Moldova,» according to the Foreign Ministry statement.
«Reminder: attacks on civilian infrastructure are war crimes,» Colonna lamented on his Twitter account.
