Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky has expressed confidence that the Russian Army’s attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure will soon get a «global response».

During his regular evening speech, the Ukrainian leader has put on the table Russia’s relentless offensives on such facilities, attacks that have only increased in recent weeks.

«Such Russian terror must and will surely receive a powerful global response», said Zelenski, who pointed out that throughout the country there are numerous energy facilities that are damaged, leaving tens of thousands of citizens without power supply.

«To withstand the Russian energy terror and pass this test is our main national task,» said the president, who believes that the very fact that Russia has resorted to «terror against the energy industry» shows «the weakness of the enemy».

In this regard, the Ukrainian leader considers that, faced with the impossibility of defeating the Ukrainian troops on the battlefield, Russia has had to resort to this strategy with which to «humiliate» the citizens and «attack their spirit».

Finally, acknowledging that Ukrainian energy supply is compromised, Zelenski has asked local authorities to avoid unnecessary electricity expenses. «This is not the time for shop windows, signs and other advertisements,» he has said.
