The Ukrainian Army reported early Sunday that on New Year’s Eve Russian troops attacked Ukrainian territory with allegedly Iranian-made drones, resulting in 45 downed UAVs.
This was reported by the Air Force Command of Ukrainian troops on its Telegram profile, adding that at least 45 drones have been shot down: thirteen in 2022 and 32 in 2023, Ukrinform news agency reported.
Separately, the head of the Kherson regional military administration, Yaroslav Yanushevich, has reported that Russian troops have shelled the region up to 40 times during the morning, resulting in three injuries.
Within the framework of the attacks carried out on the eve, the head of the Khmelnitsky regional military administration reported that a 22-year-old girl died in hospital from wounds as a result of shelling on the 31st, UNIAN news agency reported.
